Day 8 & 9 of 30-Day Organize-athon

I need to take 5 minutes to blog each day about the 30-Day Organize-athon!
Day 8: Organize Your Bed Linen, Towels, & Table Linen  (did this on Friday just didn't tell you about it.)
Day 9: Organize Your Laundry
This chore was easier and a chore I had put off. There was not much to straighten in my laundry area. It is the same as one of the other participants, the back entrance to the house and used often. I HAVE to keep it organized and clear. But, what I have been meaning to do is get behind the washer and dryer and pick up what has fallen. It was more than I thought!!! This was a fantastic chore to complete! I feel great!
If would like to catch up on the 5 minutes of organization a day for 30 days go on over to
Get Organized Wizard
and see all her hints and the accomplishments of those participating.

Exchange Students - Hosting

Have to update you from last weeks post. My daughter "ran away" (figure of speech) to her older brothers house and than her older sisters house for a couple of days. Remember the girls are on spring break from school. My daughter was still mad at me when she finally decided to come home on Wednesday. Just so you don't really think I am terribly horrible, she did ask before she could go to her siblings homes. As the week wore on she warmed up a little to me. lol  (All is well.)
My exchange daughter left for 5 days and went to Chicago with an American student from her school. SHE HAD A BLAST! They went to visit her friends dad who lives in Chicago. I am happy for her. We are one of those host families who don't go anywhere. I sometimes feel we are doing an injustice to the exchange student when I hear the stories from the families and where they go with their students. Both my husband and I work two jobs. It just is not possible.
As soon as she got home last night they both went outside and threw water balloons at each other. They came in soaked and giggling.
The girls got up early today and took the ACT test. It will be interesting to see their scores. I believe they find out in a week or two. My exchange daughter has renewed her interest in coming back for college. I am not sure this is possible. But, if their is a way she will find it. College here is very expensive for international students. She has learned a lot, although some of what she learns has not been pleasant or has been to late. We will see...

Day 7: Organize Your Books, DVDs, and/or CDs

Changed my picture because at the moment this is how I feel.
Trying to be peaceful, but so many items on the table.
Literally, the table is filled with papers to do.
Today is Day 7: Organize Your Books, DVDs, and/or CDs,
and I am going to give this chore to my daughter
(the one in the picture) to do.
She is on spring break and should be able to accomplish at least this chore.
If you would like to catch up on the 5 minutes of organization a day for 30 days go on over to
Get Organized Wizard

Day 6: Freshen Up Your Crockery & Glassware

To catch everybody up if you didn't realize...I had no internet yesterday. So yesterday was day 6 of the 30-Day Organize-athon by Get Organized Wizard.  Day 6 is Freshen Up Your Crockery & Glassware.
Quickly scan your crockery and glassware. Put into your bag any bowls, plates, cups, saucers, mugs or glasses that are:
  • Chipped
  • Stained
  • Mismatched
  • In poor condition
  • Ugly promotional items.
And then throw them away!

Day 5: Organize Your Household Information Centre

OK, so this on doesn't sound at all like 5 minutes. First I have to establish what/where my household information center is? But, all of this is going to wait. I must go out for the day.
